When I first fell in love, I was... When Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez were together, he once said that their "love feels so good" and "magical."
Back then, pop star Justin Bieber discussed his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez and said that he gave it his all but felt overtaken by the public's attention.
Singer Selena Gomez and pop star Justin Bieber once discussed their relationship openly. Selena Gomez and the singer of the song "Boyfriend" have been dating intermittently since 2011. Here is what Justin had to say about his connection.
Regarding his relationship with Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber was open.
Justin Bieber stated in an interview with i-D magazine from 2015 that he had invested his heart and soul into his relationship with Gomez because he believed she understood him better than anyone. He acknowledged that he had cut himself off from everyone else in his life and that this was why he was so invested in their relationship.
"I think with that relationship," he said, "I think... I was so distant from everyone else that I put so much of myself on the line with her. "So it's like, you have the whole world loving you, but it's not like they know my heart; they don't know me," Bieber continued. I was therefore just like, "Woah, I want to hold on to this," when I finally found that love. And I just gave it everything; there was really no holding back. Just thinking, "This love feels so good,"
Bieber continued, "So when I found that love, I was just like, 'Woah, I want to hold on to this.'" He continued by describing the intense connection he had felt with Gomez. In actuality, there was no holding back, so I just gave it my all. I simply thought, "This love feels so good.
Although the singer admitted their relationship was "magical," it wasn't without its difficulties. It's like magic, there's nothing like it, he said. I could feel that, and I just couldn't let it go. I simply thought, "I want to stick with this," even when it was difficult. Consequently, it went back and forth between being on and off. In the midst of having people judge our relationship through the media, we were figuring out how to be in a relationship, how to be ourselves, and who we were. That seems to have made me mentally unstable as well. Because once that happens, your mind starts to be confused by things like trust and other things. You're travelling.
Also on the road are some stunning women. And you're only making matters worse for yourself.

Additionally, Bieber thought back on a challenging time in his life when he had used drugs as a coping mechanism. He acknowledged that he sometimes felt as though he was at odds with those who were directing his actions. He said he had been unhappy and had turned to other things to dull his suffering. The Sorry singer remarked at the time, "You just figure out what you want to be and who you don't want to be, you have all these questions and you start answering these questions."
He had discovered a lot about himself and his desires during that time. He understood, though, that his drug use shouldn't become a part of his public persona. He had preferred to keep his true self and his music as the focus of his public persona because he had not wanted to cause people to feel uncomfortable with his choices.
In essence, Bieber emphasised the value of remaining true to oneself and refusing to let other people define who he was.
