The singer of "Don't Stop" has been teasing her ninth studio album, code-named "R9," since 2018. Initially, she had stated that it would be released in 2019. That year, she wrote, "Update: me listening to R9 by myself and refusing to release it," as the caption for a video that showed a dog dancing to House Of Pain's song "Jump Around."
According to Entertainment Tonight, the pop singer who was born in Bajan is preparing to make a comeback to the music scene and recently inked a contract with Live Nation. The article also disclosed Rihanna's plans to embark on a global tour in 2024–2025 and release new music.
The owner of the Fenty fashion label had reportedly planned to embark on a tour this year before learning that she and partner A$AP Rocky were expecting Riot Rose, their second child. It has been reported that she was scheduled to headline Glastonbury 2023, but had to cancel due to child care obligations. There are rumours that she is one of the two female headliners scheduled to open the festival in 2024.
