IU recently gave 200 million won (about $144,000 USD) to charity to mark her 14-year debut anniversary.

According to her agency EDAM Entertainment, the singer donated 100 million won (roughly $72,000 USD) to such Asan Social Welfare Foundation and 100 million won to the Seoul Metropolitan Child Welfare Association under the name "IUaena," which is a combination of her name and the name of her fan club "Uaena." While its Seoul Metropolitan Child Welfare Association grant will encourage young people as they become ready for financial independence, the Asan Social Welfare Foundation donation will be applied to pay for cancer treatment for mothers and kids who are struggling financially.

I've been sharing warmth with Uaena for such past 15 years, and this year I'm doing it again with a heart full of appreciation. [...] In a statement, IU said, "I pray that our hearts will unite to provide another tiny miracle to someone. "My "golden hour" was all the time I had been given to spend with Uaena during the previous 15 years. I appreciate you and adore you very much.

IU will also be celebrating her anniversary with two performances called "The Golden Hour" on September 17 and 18 KST at Seoul's Olympic Stadium.
